- Course objectives
- At the end of this course students should be able to: prepare materials needed for the data creation; digitize geographical data and fill in data’s attributes; visualize geographical data in the form of cartogram, cartodiagram or otrer thematic maps; create a final map with all the parts and suitable legend. The course continues the course Geoinformatics for the Teacher of Geography and Cartography. It concentrates on such issues as the geographical preparation and digitizing data and the creation of thematic maps in GIS.

- Preparation of basic materials necessary for the data creation (searching the data resources, suitable statistical data etc.) Digitalization of geographical data Work with attribute tables Geographical data visualisation in the form of cartogram, cartodiagram or other thematic maps Creation of a final map The course outcomes presentation
