- Class discussion, individual projects, reading, homework, essays, quizzes, online discussion.
- Assessment methods
- Students will have two different teachers for two different sections - each class meeting separately.
The general pass mark for this course is 70%.
Passing the class will be dependent on a continuous assessment of work during the semester. The continuous assessment will be different for each teacher. Students must pass the continuous assessment for each section independently.
The continuous assessment will be based on work done in class with the book Inside Out as well as out-of-class assignments. The book English or Czenglish will also be used in class. There will be quizzes in class that cover both books. Each seminar group will also have an essay and an oral presentation.
Students are also expected to study the book English Grammar In Use in their own time. That will not be tested until the Complex Exam at the end of the semester. - Language of instruction
