Course objectives
Having met the course requirements of Teaching Practice 2, students will be able to apply their present theoretical knowledge in observations and in their own teaching practice. They will be able to assess new types of pedagogical situations and solve them in a suitable way. They will be able to complete other tasks related to Czech language teaching (pedagogical documentation, school library etc.).
Syllabus
  • Students do their teacher training in the course of the term (on Fridays) under the supervision of a mentor teacher at a chosen primary school, or in the lower classes of a grammar school. The teacher training represents 10 observations and 6 teaching periods including all three parts of the subject. Written lesson plans are discussed with the mentor teacher. Depending on the conditions, students take part also in other teaching activities of a Czech language teacher and of the school.

Assessment methods
Type of completion: credit. Credit requirements: a required number of teaching lessons and observations, evaluation report from the mentor teacher, pedagogical diary containing detailed notes taken during observations and student´s own lesson plans (including self-reflective comments) and information about trainee´s further activities carried out during the teacher training.
