- At the end of this course student will be able to understand and explain the complicated processes connected with the Czech-German relationship. Student will be able to search for the reasons leading to the two excesses of the 20th century - the occupational policy in the period of the Protectorate and the following expulsion of Germans.
- Syllabus
- Historical bases of Czechs and Germans coexistence. The rise of conflict communion. The way to the rise of independent Czechoslovakia. Czechs and Germans in the 1st Czechoslovakia. The break up of Czechoslovakia and the rise of protectorate. The displacements genesis. The process of eviction and displacement of Germans from the Sudetenland. Contemporary elevation on the question of displacement.
