- Course objectives
- The course provides a general introduction to the literature for young readers in English, with a special interest in Young Adult Literature. Students are asked to read, discuss and present selected texts, and study recommended sources. In the end of the course, students will understand five literary genres suitable for young readers,

- Course schedule:
- 1. Introduction to the course; reading oral literature: folk tales, urban legends, fairy tales traditional and modern, tall tales.
- 2. Sharing the best from on-line sources. Reading nursery rhymes, modern and contemporary poetry for young readers.
- 3. Sharing the best from on-line courses. Intentional literature for children and the rise of YAL. Student presentations.
- 4. Sharing the best from on-line courses. Reading fantasy fiction. Student presentations.
