- Course objectives
- The course is aimed at deepening the theoretical knowledge of doctoral students about the nature of educational process, about the status of music education among the other subjects in the school curriculum and current trends of Czech and world music pedagogy, which can positively influence the personalization, socialization and enculturation of human.

- The fundament of education and educational process. The axiological base of education. The effect of educational methods on the development of personality. Beauty in the system of educational values. Trends in the Czech and world music pedagogy. Application of music education in traditional and alternative educational programs.

- Credit - requirements: An essay on some of the topics mentioned above (the range of at least 8 standard pages based on the literature), but with a focus on reflection of student's own views on a selected range of problems. It is recommended to process the related topic to doctoral thesis, which will also be "embedded" in one of the topics of Music Pedagogy I.Exam - requirements: in the first part the students determine by a lot one of the topics mentioned above and prove their orientation in its content. If they succeed, follow the second part of the exam - discussion to the subject arising from the essay prepared by students for the credit.
