Course objectives
Practice of Russian intonation by means of short texts, practice of pronunciation by means of single speech sounds and poetry. Revision of transcription. Construction of intonation (IK-1 - IK-7).
Syllabus
  • 1. IK 1. Intonation in declarative sentence. 2. IK 2. Wh-question. 3. IK 3. Yes/No question. 4. Intonation in SVOC sentence and compound sentence. 5. Intonation in one-section and multi-section sentences. 6.IK 4. Intonation in different types of questions. 7 IK - 5. Intonation devices for expressing degrees of quality and quantity. 8. IK 6. Expressing positive attitude to an object.

Teaching methods
Seminar. Attendance 80% (two absences allowed). The student must prepare regulary for the seminar and do required home assingnments. Listening and reading russian texts.
Assessment methods
To obtain the credit, the student must also actively participate in the class (two absences within a semester are tolerated), prepare regularly for the lessons and do the required home assignments. Oral credit.
