Course objectives
Lectures are focused on Down Syndrome. There will be its specification, etiology, screening, forms, diagnostics, education, and support described. We will focus on non-profit organizations taking care of these people and some famous people with this syndrome. Literature to this topic will be described. Learning outcomes:
At the end of the course students should be able to:
explain Down syndrome;
work with information on Down syndrome for parents;
name NGOs;
make decision about education of students with Down syndrome;
recommend literature and films on Down syndrome
