Course objectives
After successful completion of this course the student will -be familiar with basic terminology related to the field of alternative and augmentative communication -be able to communicate by using Pictograms -become knowledgeable about basic of Makaton and Sign in the speech. -be able to choose suitable form of alternative and augmentative communication for person with communication disorder
Syllabus
  • Communication – verbal, nonvebral. Communication process Alternative and augmentative communication Static systems, dynamic systems. Selection and application of AAC. Basic character inventory of Makaton and Sign in the speech.

Teaching methods
Seminar, class discussion, presentations by professionals of the branch, exercices.
Assessment methods
The student will receive credit for: - processing and presentation of the project - AAC aid - written test (it is necessary to successfully cope with 75% correct answers). Other requirements will be communicated at the beginning of the course.
