- The aim of the course is to acquire basic knowledge and skills of the following thematic areas of cartography: General principles of thematic maps. Contents maps. Map composition - compositional elements. Legend maps - the process and principles of the legend. Cartographic expression means. Raster and color in the thematic content. Theory points and cartodiagram character. Evaluation of thematic maps. Maps for teaching geography.

- The goal is to acquire basic knowledge and skills in the field of thematic cartography. Apply the general principles of creating thematic maps on concrete examples. Process mapping composition. Create a cartogram and cartodiagram. Create maps for teaching geography.
