- Main objectives can be summarized as follows: reproducable and extention of knowledge and acquirements of in the sphere of organic chemistry nomenclature including YUPAC reference 1993.
- Syllabus
- Basic terminology. Nomenclature principles.Alkanes and cycloalkanes. Alkenes. Dienes and polyenes. Isoprenoides. Alkynes. Aromatic compounds. Halogen derivatives. Hydroxy derivatives - alcohols and phenols. Polyhydroxy derivatives. Quinones. Ethers. Thioles and sulfides. Comparison with the oxygen derivatives. Sulfinic and sulfonic acids, sulfoxides and sulfones. Nitro compounds. Amino derivatives. Diazoalkanes, diazoesters, diazoketones preparation and reactivity. Azides. Azo, azoxy and hydrazo compounds. Nitriles and isonitriles. Carbonyl derivatives. Aldehydes and ketones. Carbohydrates (aldoses, ketoses, trioses, tetroses, pentoses, hexoses), nomenclature. Carboxylic acids. Substituted derivatives of carboxylic acids. Derivatives of carbonic acid. Lipids, their structure, properties. Waxes. Heterocyclic compounds.
