Course objectives
At the end of the course students should be able to understand The Czechoslovak Republic rised as a multi-national state, which quaranteed the protection of national minorities. The most important problem was the building up of new Czechs and Germans co-existence and also the relation to wakening Slovaks.
Syllabus
  • The rise of multi-national Czechoslovak state. The question of national minorities integration to Czechoslovakia. The Slovaks and the theory of Czechoslovakism. The co-existence of Czechs and Germans in new conditions. Hungarian, Polish and Rutherian minority. The failure of oficial racial politics.

Theoretical preparation in the form of lectures will be accompanied with students´presentations.
