- Course objectives
- This part of the course deals with the comparison of the Czech and French language systems. Complements and deepens more curriculum subject FJBP_JC4A. The translation exercise in the textbook French for advanced (lessons 21-25) draws attention to the differences between both languages and contributes to overcome the interferential influences. Translations of continuous texts with the utilisation of such translation procedures that enable to maintain the spirit of the target language. At the end of this course, students should be able to: understand extended speech and lectures, articles and reports concerned with contemporary problems provided that the topic is reasonably familiar; interact with a degree of fluency and spontaneity, take an active part in discussion in familiar contexts while accounting for, and sustaining, their views; write an essay or report, passing on information or giving reasons in support of, or against, a particular point of view.

- Seminary, discussion, presentation.
- Assessment methods
- Follow-up: During the semester, students write tests to verify their knowledge. Their results will not affect the acquisition of credit. Workshop Ending: credit. Requirements for ending: active participation (70%), reading in French, oral examination of reading predetermined text and essay on an assigned topic related to reading the book.
