Course objectives
The objective of the subject is to increase and practise of practical of knowledge of the language, as well as to train the oral and written communication. The emphasis is based on increasing of communicative skills having discussions and meetings in the ambit of actual conversational topics. The basic component of the subject is to increase the oral speach in the phonetic, lexical and grammar aspect.
Syllabus
  • The main emphasis of the course is on developing communicative skills through dialogue, discussions and debates in the current   conversational topics (using the Russian newspapers, magazines and Internet): 1st Astrology. 2nd My CV. 3rd Hard work is paying off? 4th Who has three saves. 5th Man and Nature. 6th Current print. 7th Eminent scientists.

Teaching methods
Regular activ participation in the class. Listening in russian language. Reading russian texts and correct pronunciation.
Assessment methods
Seminar. Attendance 80% (two absences allowed). Regular active participation in the class. To obtain the credit the student must comlete and hand in(during the last week of teaching at the lastest) an essay on the given topic
