In the end of the course, the students will be able to:

- understand chosen problems of nuclear chemistry
- speak English about chosen chemical problems and understand chemical text written in English.

  • NUCLEAR DECAY: Spontaneous Nuclear Decay. Nuclear Reactions. The Pattern of Nuclear Stability. Predicting the Type of Nuclear Decay. Nucleosynthesis.
  • NUCLEAR RADIATION: The Biological Effects of Radiation. Measuring the Rate of Nuclear Decay. Uses of Radioisotopes.
  • NUCLEAR ENERGY: Mass-Energy Conversion. Nuclear Fission. Nuclear Fusion. The Chemistry of Nuclear Power.
