- Course objectives
- The students shall deal with the texts of various style spheres during those lessons. There is presupposed that after finishing the course:
1. Students are able to analyse language elements of various language levels and to apply knowledge of the contemporary Czech language and linguistic disciplines to the analysis of texts.
2. Students are able to consider the text in the whole after analysis of the language elements of the levels (the levels of louds, words, phrases, sentences…).
3. Students are able to choose suitable text for the analysis of chosen language phenomena.
4. Students are able to apply the knowledge and skills of textual analysis in the Czech language teaching.
5. Students are able to use a competence of others subjects to analyse the texts or to use the content of the texts to remind knowledge of other subjects. - Syllabus
- 1. Syntactical structure of the texts. Sentence, combined and compound sentences in the texts. Connectives.
- 2. Analysis of the combined and compound sentences.
- 3. Analysis of the sentence, Word categories and sentential elements. Syntactical relationships and their utterance in the syntactical structures.
- 4. Lexical items in text, semantic characteristics and semantic relations among lexical units (in the vocabulary). Identification of multiverbal lexical units in the texts
- 5. Word-forming analysis and analysis of the word-structure. Importance of correct word-forming analysis in praxis.
- 6. Morphological phenomena in the text. Adequate grammatical and word-forming forms of words.
- 7. Some phonic phenomena in the texts. Phonic changes in the texts and in the spoken language. Assimilation in the spoken text.

Credit requirements: Written exam including theme of syllabus.
The written exam includes 25 elementary questions, to be succesfull students have to answer 20 of that questions correctly. - Language of instruction
