- This course completes the analysis of grammatical and lexical phenomena (lessons 18-22, A. Tionová, Francouzština pro pokročilé) and is focused on systemic comparison of Czech and French. Translation exercises in the textbook (Lessons 23-25) highlight the differences between the two languages and contribute to overcoming of interference effects. The individual effects are exacerbated in JC4V. Continuous tests after lessons 18-22 and after each translation lesson verify understanding phenomena discussed. At the end of this course, students should be able to understand extended speech and lectures, articles and reports concerned with contemporary problems, attend talks fluently and spontaneously engage actively in discussions on familiar topics, explain and defend their opinions, write an essay or report passing on information or refute an opinion.
