Course objectives
The course deepens the program of course JC4 and is focused on systemic comparison of Czech and French. At the end of this course, students should be able to: understand extended speech and lectures, articles and reports concerned with contemporary problems, participate in the talks fluently and spontaneously, if the topic is reasonably familiar, participate actively in discussion in familiar contexts, accounting for and sustaining their views, write an essay or report, passing on information or giving an opinion. They should also be able to identify differences between the Czech and French languages and to translate easier texts from one language to another.
