- The course is offered to students of any study field.
- Course objectives
- The subject aims to gain basic theoretical knowledge about preschool education in Czech Republic mostly in public kindergartens. At the end of the course student should be able to: Understand and explain system of Czech preprimary education; understand the conditions of Czech public preschool education; compare approaches of Czech preschool education and system of education in student’s country.
- Syllabus
- Syllabus of Preprimary education is divided in eight topics: 1. Changes in preschool educational curriculum 2. System of early education and care in Czech Republic, including education and care for children before age of three years 3. National framework for preschool education (philosophy, structure) 4. Project of supporting health in kindergartens 5. Children from socially disadvantaged environment 6. Cooperation between kindergarten and parents 7. Play as the starting point in preschool education 8. Teachers ´competences and his professional development
