Course objectives
At the end of the course students be able to: properly use the microscope; make to native and permanent biological preparation; treat biological material for microscopic observation; establish and maintain infusorian culture; collect and preserve biological material; prepare and survey plant material as well as establish, describe and maintain herbarium; establish and maintain breeding of animals suitable for elementary school; use filed guide to animals and plants; look up literature and use online sources.

  • 1. Use of the microscope, its maintenance.
  • 2. Microscopic techniques, basics of microscopy.
  • 3. Production of native and pernament biolocical preparations.
  • 4. Finishing of pernament biological preparations.
  • 5. Collection and preserve of biological material.
  • 6. Tools for the identification of biological objects.
  • 7. Identification of biological objects in practise.
  • 8. Literature and online sources.
  • 9. Animal breeding.
