- Course objectives
- Student will develop communicative skills upon dialogues, conversation, discussions based on certain topics. Students will improve grammatical, lexical and phonetic items in their verbal communication. They also practice their language skills through listening and reading of Russian texts from press and internet. Written expression is regulary practised by sequences of written tests. The main aim of course is student's ability of verbal and written expression in his own.

- 1 to 2 Features. Properties. Adjectives. Relative and interrogative pronouns. Short forms of adjectives. 3 to 4 Clothing. Fashion. Adverbial present and past. Declension of pronouns весь. 5 to 6 Traffic signs. Driving a car. Traffic accidents. Adjectives verbal person. Adjectives passive verb. 7 to 8 At the post office. In the bank. The clutch. Являться - linking verb. Infinitive in Russian and Czech. Use of prepositions. 9 to 10 Russian Federation: geography, state system. State power president. Inflection surname. 11 to 12 Russian holidays and traditions. Inflection generic numerals. Fractions and decimals. Repetition.

- Teaching methods
- The student must regulary prepare for the seminar, do required home assingnments, listen and read Russian texts, translation from Czech to Russian language and contrariwise.
- Assessment methods
- Credit requirements:
active participation on lessons,
doing of homework;
preparing of one interesting information from Russian press, TV or Runet;
Fulfilling requirements. Discussion with the teacher will be held. The discussion will be based on the topics from the course, the reading (Russian book - 180- 200 p., which student will bring and show to teacher), and listening (audio, video, DVD). The student should also provide a vocabulary exercise book, which will contain at least fifty new words. - Language of instruction
