- Course objectives
- On the seminary the students train the analysis of the words based on the knowledge that they have won on the lecture and from the literature. Fundamental terminology of word forming, system of the word forming and the structure of this system.
- Learning outcomes
- At the end of the course the student controls the derivation of nouns, adjectives, verbs, adverbs; composition of nouns and adjectives; shortening; marginal ways of creating words. Students are able to break the word based on a specified algorithm (including formula expression), determine its inclusion in the word-making system, and assess productivity.
- Syllabus
- 1. Formation of words as linguistic discipline. 2. Basic word-forming terminology. 3. Word-forming system. 4. Forming of basic word forms. 5. Word-forming development tendencies form the position of onomastic methods in contemporary vocabulary.

- Active analytical students´ work in the analysis of Czech texts, active synthetic students´ work in the interpretation of linguistic phenomena, discussion about the professional course issues.
- Assessment methods
- For a successful completion of the course, the students should complete a written examen. The test is scored. Students must obtain at least an absolute majority of points.

Information on completion of the course: Podmínkou pro ukončení předmětu zkouškou je složení zkoušky z předmětu CJ2BP_JMor a zápočtu z předmětu CJ2BP_JLex. Součástí zkoušky je i obsah předmětu CJ2BP_JLex.Zkouška je písemná a ústní.
