- Course objectives
- The main objective of the course is to acquaint students with the main branches and scientific results in the field of linguistics of discourse. Further on they gain knowledge of the importance of the text analysis for foreign language teaching. They are also able to set the text analysis reasonably into foreign language courses.
- Learning outcomes
- Students can:
- define text as a language sign;
- distinguish a text from a "non-text"
- identify textypes and describe their main features;
- precisely describe structures of text relevant for German as a foreign language;
- teach the basic issues of text linguistics. - Syllabus
