- Course objectives
- The course will enable students to;
understand drama in terms of art, education and psychology;
explain the concept of drama education;
make use of drama games, exercises and methods in their teaching;
produce a drama lesson based on a given topic and aims;
interpret academic sources concerned with drama; - Syllabus
- History of drama education and its position in the contemporary system of primary education in the Czech Republic.
- Values and goals of creative drama.
- Educational, psychological and artistic bases of creative drama.
- Introductory games and exercises. Introduction and relaxation games, warm-ups. Concentration games. Games developing verbal and non-verbal communication. Games developing sensory perception. Spatial awareness games. Imagination developing games. Games developing relationships and group sensitivity.
