Course objectives
Main objectives can be summarised as follows:
to introduce into basic kinds of powers, particles of mass and centres of the research in this branch.
Syllabus
  • 1. History of the discovery of particles: electron, proton, antimass, neutrino, neutron, positron, meson, mion, quark.
  • 2. Classification of particles: quantums of fields, leptons, quarks, fermions, bosons, hadrons, baryons, mesons, nucleons, hyperons, pions, kaons, antiparticles, Higgs’s particles.
  • 3. Standard model - families of elementary particles, nucleus of the atom, electron cover, gravitation, electricity, magnetism, weak interactions, strong interactions, supersymetry, Einstein’s live dream - theory of everything, theory of strings (superstrings).
  • 4. Centres of the research of elementary particles, modern methods of research, future in particles discovery.
