- Course objectives
- The aim of this subject is to obtain a synoptic knowledge on selected topics of machines at the college level. The emphasis is on the logical structure of this discipline and to acquire knowledge and skills needed to teach vocational training and vocational subjects in high school. For these reasons, it is situated in consultations larger number of practical examples of linking the subject matter to practice, nature conservation, health, etc. technical usability.
Objectives: Knowledge: A comprehensive overview of the knowledge on selected topics of the course machine parts with an emphasis on the relationship of the subject matter to practice, nature, health, etc. technical usability. Skills: Be able to characterize various materials used in the manufacture of machine parts. Characterize the selected machine parts, connections and links. Be able to explain the basic technological processes used for joining the components in relation to the subject matter and practicality. Attitude: To learn the value of objectivity. Deepen the value of health to himself and others in connection with occupational safety and hygiene in the workplace. Deepen the values to environmental protection. - Learning outcomes
- After completing the course, students should know and be able to:
Basic principles of safety and hygiene in engineering.
Identify basic occupational safety violations in connection with a particular technological process in relation to the substance being investigated.
Describe selected materials used in technical practice. Describe selected machine parts, connections and links discussed in the tutorials.
Create knowledge based on topics I and II. the content and methodical preparation of the teacher for the lesson. - Syllabus
- The syllabus of consultation (after weeks or blocks): I.The materials - classification, properties and uses. 1.The metals (ferrous metals, non-ferrous metals), applications in engineering practice. Non-metallic materials usage in engineering practice. Composite materials, application in technical practice. 2.The excipients and second energies. 3.The requirements for the material and required properties. The physical properties of materials. The mechanical properties of materials. The technological properties of materials. The chemical properties of materials. The Compatibility with the environment and health safety. II.The machine parts 1.The detachable connections (basic distribution connections, screwed connections - principles and applications in technical practice). 2.The detachable connections (welded, soldered, glued and riveted - principles and applications in technical practice). 3.The machine components (shafts, pins and the pins, pens and wedges, bearings, springs - principles and applications in technical practice). 4.The mechanical transmission (basic distribution, friction gearboxes, gears, chain drives and belt - principles and applications in technical practice).
