- Course objectives
- The aim of the course is the theoretical and practical preparation of a choirmaster for quality choir conducting at primary and secondary school.
- Learning outcomes
- After completing the course student
- manages the conducting work of the choirmaster of the school choir on a qualitative level.
- focuses on organizational and operational matters of the choirmaster - Syllabus
- Practical part:
- Fundamentals of conducting technique, choir leading. Types of choirs, the concert choir position, organization of rehearsal, a long-term dramaturgic plan. Principles of scores study for children, women, men and mixed choir. A capella choirs and choirs with accompaniment. Terms: begin, conclusions, division, refracted, the beginning of the time beat that is not in the diagram, „Auftakt“ - upbeat, dynamics.
- Theoretical part:
- Czech choir composers of 20th century. Characteristic works, vocal and instrumental compositions for children. Choral tone and intonation, articulation of consonants and vocals, timbre balance. Czech choirmasters and conductors of the 20th century. Artistic growth singing societies, the international success of teaching and other bodies Czech corps. Choral songs with accompaniment. Conducting schemes of composed bars. The world-class conductors, the best professional and amateur choirs.
