- Course objectives
- Upon completion of the course students will be able to:
define basic concepts such as information thinking, information education, educational technologies;
to introduce didactic principles linked to the implementation of computer science teaching on the 1st st. Primary School;
to be aware of the current trends in the teaching of computer science at elementary schools, both methodical and content;
to diagnose preconceptions of pupils 1st st. Primary School, ICT-based elementary schools and applied knowledge in the process of developing new knowledge, skills and attitudes;
based on framework and school education programs to analyze students' needs and practices in the area of algorithmic thinking and programming development;
to be able to develop informative thinking in pupils of 1st st. Primary School;
integrate interactive / digital technologies into the educational process on the 1st st. Primary School;
prepare the lesson for a selected topic and then implement it in a model situation. - Syllabus
- • basic didactic competence of the teacher 1st st. Elementary School with a focus on informatics and digital technology, • the objectives of computer science and digital technology teaching on 1st st. Primary schools, their definition, implementation and evaluation; development of information thinking, • forms and methods of teaching focused on informatics and digital technology, • didactic aspects of the development of user skills related to the control and use of programs and digital technologies (writing texts, drawing pictures, using the Internet, ...) • didactic aspects of algorithmization and programming for 1st st. Elementary School, • robotic teaching aids and their use in the development of information thinking, • planning and creating a school curriculum of computer science on 1st st. Elementary School, • work with information, data processing, • project - preparation of a selected topic focused on the development of information thinking • practical verification of the project - realization of the teaching in practice or in the form of a model micro-output.
