Course objectives
The main aim of this course is to have knowledge in the area of counselling provided to individuals with physical disability and special educational techniques and procedures of the aim group of pupils and multidisciplinary cooperation and counselling system. Students get the skills of intervention provided to individuals with physical disability.
Learning outcomes
Outcomes: - Knowledge of counselling provided to individuals with physical disability - Intervention and support towards individuals with physical disability
Syllabus
  • 1. Early intervention provided to children with cerebral palsy. 2. Compensatory aids for people with physical disabilites. 3. Interventions in the area of medical support (Vojta´s method, Bobath concept). 4. Support of psychological and motor development of child with physical disability – positioning and special aids. Multidisciplinary cooperation and cooperation with parents. 5. Other supportive therapies (exercice on the ball, verticalization training, locomotion, swimming, hippotherapy, canistherapy). 6. Intervention in the field of fine motor and sensomotor skillsin children with central disabilities, compensatory aids. 7. Intervention in the field of graphomotorocs pre-school , children, training methodology,alternative ways of writing, using of PC, control of aids. 8. Psychological traits in pupils with severe progressive illnesses. 9.Support provided to children with health handicap - diabetes, asthma, cystic fobrosis, oncological diseases. 10.Snoezelen concept. 11. Basal stimulation. 12. Individual educational plan. 13. Vocational training and counselling, special support. 14. Counseling and special pedagogy. 15. Methods and means of counseling. 16. The principles of advisory intervention.
