- Course objectives
- The course aims to acquaint the course participants with the basics of computer technology, including technical aspects of health informatics, the use of information and communication technologies in medicine and to provide information on medical documentation and its management system.
The health care professional uses computer technology and uses databases in medical information systems. At the same time, it must process the patient/client documentation and use the electronic way of keeping medical records. - Learning outcomes
- The graduate of the course will be able to independently and actively search for and use tools, procedures, and processes enabling the proper use of the ICT environment for more effective provision of health services. He/she will understand the possibilities and risks of digitalization and handling data and information based on applicable legislation, in particular, he/she will be able to keep medical records with an emphasis on personal data protection.

- Technical aspects of health informatics and information systems
- The use of computer technology in diagnostics, therapy, etc.
- Legislation in force relating to management, archiving and shredding medical records, including privacy
- Minutes and method of keeping medical records (factual content, electronic way of management)
