- The course aims to provide necessary information about the health care system and the operation of medical facilities.
Theoretical introduction to the system of delivering health services in the Czech Republic, fundamentals of financing health services, management system, and administration. Security and development of human resources in health and social sphere. - Learning outcomes
- The graduate of the course will be familiar with health care and health care systems in the Czech Republic, including financing and management of health services. He/she will be able to describe and explain the role of selected institutions in the performance of public administration in the field of health and public health insurance. He/she will understand the health care financing system. The graduate of the course knows and is able to reflect the rights of patients, is familiar with the material contained in the Act on Health Services (Act No. 372/2011 Coll.), Is able to explain the roles and competences of individual public institutions operating in the field of health, knows and reflects the most essential rules of labor law. In terms of quality management, he/she can empathically communicate with patients/clients at the desired level concerning their age and condition, with colleagues and other people, and maintains generally accepted rules of good behavior and adhere to ethical standards within their profession.
