Course objectives
Lectures and seminars broaden students' knowledge and skills from Russian literature for children and youth. The course is focused on issues which are not included in the obligatory subject Children's Literature 1, but they are important for the development of Russian literature and also for the Czech-Russian context. The seminar focuses on using theoretical knowledge in practice, namely on practical analysis and interpretation of individual texts and discussion about them.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course students understand the specifics of children's literature in Russian-Czech context; they are able to outline the basic overview of Russian literature for children and youth; they are able to present significant representatives of Russian literature and their work; actively ese the comparative method; critically interpret selected works of Russian literature for children and youth in the 20th and 21st centuries.
