Course objectives
The goal is to verify the ability of students to express their thoughts in writing form. On the appointed day the students write final work (essay on 4 pages A4 in Russian language) on one of three given themes. The work is evaluated at language aspect (grammar and spelling mistakes, errors in punctuation, stylistic awkwardness) and content of essay.
Syllabus
  • Students will write on the date final work on one of three topics presented. Students may use dictionaries. Essay (4 pages A4) is written during three hours.

Teaching methods
Regular essay preparation is recommended, individual work with literature and dictionaries.
Assessment methods
Writing an essay on given topic. The essay is evaluated in terms of correct Russian language (grammar, spelling, punctuation errors, stylistic awkwardness) and in terms of content.
