- Course objectives
- At the end of the course students should be able to: (1) understand plant systematic principles and methods; (2) interpret classification schemes; (3) gain an appreciation of the diversity of the world’s mosses and vascular flora; (4) become familiar with the characteristics of major orders and families of vascular plants; (5) prepare plant material for observations; (6) practically recognize major determination and evolution characteristics of vascular plants; (7) identify common Czech plants; (8) apply these skills in the preparation of a plant collection; (9) know the basic methods used in botany. (10) use these skills in paedagogical praxis
- Learning outcomes
- - student uses the correct terminology and is able to select concepts and phenomena corresponding to the level of pupils at primary schools - student selects and uses the model organisms in the teaching praxis to document the selected concepts and phenomena related to botany of higher plants - student works with plant material and creates didactic subjects for the needs of teaching at primary school
