- Course objectives
- The aim of this course is to obtain a clear knowledge bases of higher mathematics. Main objectives can be summarized as follows: to understand the basic elements of higher Mathematics; to learn the necessary mathematical skills for the calculus in Physics ;
- Learning outcomes
- At the end of the course the student will be able to apply the knowledge from the subject Mathematics to specific tasks.
- Syllabus
- I. The functions of several variables. The concept of the functions of several variables, the basic properties of functions. The concept of limits in the direction. Partial derivatives, total differential. Integral calculus of functions of several variables. Line integrals I and II. kind. Area integrals I and II. kind.
- II. Differential equations. The concept of differential equations, initial and boundary conditions, the general and particular solutions. Linear differential equation 1 and 2 Regulations. Their calculations. Selected partial differential equations.
- III. Fundamentals of vector analysis and linear algebra. 1st Operators gradient, curle and divergence. Matrices and determinants.
