Course objectives
Abstract: The aim of this subject is to acquire basic knowledge of meteorology, conducting physical experiments, processing and evaluation of experimental data. The main emphasis is on learning skills with experimental interconnections to the topics of basic course in physics. Objectives: Knowledge: A comprehensive overview of knowledge about the implementation and processing of physical measurements with an emphasis of the relationship of the subject matter to practise, nature, home, technical applications etc. Skills: Being able to independently carry out measurements in physics, set up an experiment, to select an appropriate measurement method, being able to interpret measured data and make a reasonable estimate of measurement uncertainties. Attitude: To learn the values of objectivity and significance of scientific work.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course the student will be able to apply: Knowledge: A comprehensive set of knowledge of conducting and processing measurements in physics with the emphasis on the relationship between the subject matter and reality, e.g. nature, home, technical applications, etc. Skills: To be able to conduct physics measurements in physics, build an experiment, choose the appropriate measuring method, process the data and make a reasonable estimate of the measurement uncertainties. Attitudes: To learn the value of objectivity and significance of the scientific work
