Course objectives
Introduction to Medical Disciplines
The basic objectives of the course is linked to knowledge of anatomy and physiology of the human body, bringing basic overview of infectious diseases and critical mass of non-infectious diseases (cardiovascular diseases and cancer, diabetes, allergies) patofysiologie basics, epidemiology, school hygiene, prevention and first aid. Further definition of the themes mentioned below.
Concept of health, survey of defects of motor system, heart-vascular system, respiratory system, digestive system, secretion system, skin and nerve systems, child with sensory defect, school and infections of child with allergy, health risks of teachers position, introduction to evaluation of nutritional consumption, basic terminology of infectology, defects of reproductive system, reproductive and sexual behaviour as risk factor.
Outcomes of learning: the successful completion of this course student gets the basic idea of the composition and function of the human body as a whole and its individual systems will be able to understand the pathological processes of selected infectious and noninfectious nature, understand the meaning of preventive measures, and many of them will be able to implement. Master the basics of first aid provision lay.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, the student will know the basic concepts of human anatomy and physiology, risk and preventive factors, symptoms, treatment and prevention of disease states that may be encountered in the school environment. Students will also learn the basics of infectology, epidemiology and lay first aid. The student will know the importance of physical activity, balanced nutrition and mental hygiene for a healthy lifestyle.

  • Overview of impairments of locomotive organs, heart-vascular impairments, respiratory, digestive, excretory systems, dermal, and nerve systems.
  • Child with sensory impairment.
  • School and infections.
  • Child with allergies, health risks of the teaching profession.
  • General evaluation of nutrition state.
  • General terminology of infectious deseases.
  • Impairments of reproduction organs, reproduction and sexual behavior as a risk factor.
  • Social pathology and its prevention.

Teaching methods
Lecture with lots of difficult interpretation of the substance, theoretical preparation of the recommended print and electronic information sources. Feedback - the audience response during a lecture or in consultation hours.
Assessment methods
Examination in the student performs writing in the form of a test containing 60 questions. Lines to test the public, respect the content of textbook chapters binding (the script). The successful completion of the test requires students to achieve at least 40 points, with each correct answer to the question is rated 1 point. The student has to fill the test available to a maximum of 60 minutes of time. In case of disagreement, the student or other barriers which prevent it from writing to meet the (test), you can try to also orally. Teachers entering students 3 questions, based on the syllabus of the course, give him a written preparation.
