- Course objectives
- After completing this seminar the students will be able to interpret differences in pronunciation between German and Czech vowels, consonants and assimilation and characterize typical pronunciation mistakes made by Czech native speakers.
- Learning outcomes
- The student know the difference in German and Czech pronunciation of certain phenomenon. He can apply this knowledge to improve his own pronunciation. He knows how to avoid typical mistakes in pronunciation made by native Czech speakers in standard German. He can chose suitable texts for practicing proper pronunciation.

- Seminar; practice of pronunciation of German vowels, consonants, assimilation and suprasegmental phenomena of German pronunciation. Homework, active independent study.

- Fulfilling requirements: The students are supposed to master German pronunciation, as well as the methodology of avoiding the typical pronunciation mistakes made by Czech native speaker.
