Course objectives
The aim of this course is to deepen existing practical and theoretical knowledge on the art of translation of texts of fiction. The course focuses on theoretical and practical problems of translation. Problematic areas of particular texts for hours and discuss thoroughly solved through discussion.
Learning outcomes
Student will be able to: – to focus on the basic theory and practice of translation; – understand and use the correct terminology associated with translations; – in particular, to distinguish the texts in a stylistic way; – choose adequate vocabulary, characteristic phrases and phrases; – learn how to choose artistic means to enhance text.

  • 1. Theory of literary translation. 2. Translation analysis. 3. Translation criticism (P. Sanajev). 4. Translation of story (O. Pavlov). 5. Translation of novel (D. Rubina).
