Cíle předmětu
The student will be able to apply the body of knowledge about history of science in the teaching practice at lower secondary school. In the course, the student will learn about the origins of history of science and about its position among historical sciences as well as about its place in history education. On the basis of the knowledge and skills gained, the graduate will develop similar skills in pupils during the teaching career. The will be able to explain the consequences in a manner suitable to the age of the pupils.
Výstupy z učení
Student will be able to apply the knowledge and skills gained as well as the interconnections among the different topics on a lower secondary school level. The students will also get acquainted with different types of educational situations that appear in teaching about history of science, so that they can adequately react in history classes. They will acquire knowledge of historical processes, facts and phenomena and will be able to draw the main features of the historical development.

Výukové metody
Throughout the course, theoretical lectures are combined with practical activities and training in using teaching methods at secondary schools. Students will analyse documents and presentations and will lead moderated discussions about them.
