- Course objectives
- The course is focused on the orientation in tonal harmonic system and its application in the area of the creation of the piano accompaniment of folk songs. Main princips of piano stylisation of songs. Develops the ability to use when creating the accompaniment of folk songs other than only the intuitive procedures.
- Learning outcomes
- The Student knows the basic principles of piano stylization of accompaniment of folk songs. Has the ability to use when creating the accompaniment of folk songs other than only the intuitive procedures.
- Syllabus
- The horizontal and vertical component of harmony. The basic principles of merger related and unrelated chords. Cadence. Turnovers of chords. Dominant sevnths chord. Melodic tones. Piano stylization of accompaniment of folk songs. Tonal function and the so-called guitar tags chords. Credit requirements: Harmonisation of the entered melody with guitar brands. The theoretical knowledge of the basic principles of tonal harmony.
