- Course objectives
- Aim of the course is skill in creation of accompaniments to songs. Playing of the small piano compositions.
- Learning outcomes
- At the end of the course students are able to create the accompaniment to the folk and artificial songs. On the basis of development of piano playing (technical skills, ability for music expression, differentiation of music styles etc.) are able to play small piano pieces for children.
- Syllabus
- Playing the instrument – the piano in relation to the subject Music theory: a) playing the major scales (C, D, E-flat, E, F, G, A major) b) playing the chords and their turns c) playing the basic harmonic cadences (major keys) d) the basics of improvisation - accompaniments to 25 songs (20 songs of the 1st class and 5 songs of the 2nd class) - basic accompaniment stylization (2/4, 3/4 a 4/4 beat-times) - playing according to the chordal marks - using the pedal - play with singing song e) playing the piano composition
