Course objectives
At the end of this course students will be able to explain the determination of economics as a science,its subject, methodology, articulation. Evolution of the ways out of economical thinking from the beginnings to the large neoclassical synthesis, to explain the macroeconomics and microeconomics problems and solve practical examples.

  • Determination of economics as a science. Origins of economic thinking. Ancient economic thinkig. Classic political economics. Neoclassic economics. Rise and development keynesian school, neokeynesian school. Czech economic thinking, cameralists. Basic economic concepts. Macroeconomics. Gross Domestic Product. Fiscal, monetary and rent policy. Inflation. Unemployment, Phillips curve. Business cycle, Okuns law. Foreign trade. Microeconomics, utility. Elasticity of tender and demand
