Course objectives
The aim of this course is to introduce students to Soviet and Russian cinematography. Each seminar will be dedicated to a certain theme. Another course objective is developing intercultural communicative competence and speech skills of the students through authentic audiovisual materials.
Learning outcomes
By the end of the course, students will acquire knowledge of Soviet and contemporary Russian film production and will be able to discuss different genres and themes of Russian cinematography.

Submitting 6 written assignments - short analysis of 6 films of different thematic areas.

Teacher's information
During the semester, students will watch at least 6 films (always at least one within each thematic area), which they analyze in writing. Earlier termination is possible for students who go to the SZZ (however, they must inform the teacher at the beginning of the semester). The course is contactless.
