Course objectives
The subject play with a marionette is before all concieved as a preparation for communication in practice, where is possible to use a marionette to communicate with children. The stress is with the help of etudes with tools laid on development of imagination and creativity. Tools and also marionetts cen by its signs of acting offer variet range of human types and thats why the attention is given to play with a tool and marionette in etudes.
Learning outcomes
Student will be able:
Identify different types of puppets.
Express the drama acts through the play with a puppet.
Present the final result of the puppet play.

  • Syllabus:
  • Paly, playfulness. Metaphor. Tool - thing and observing of its signs. Picking up of the tool, what it says about its self. Speech and acting of a tool. Marionette – play with marionette. Improvization with tolls and marionette. Figure marionette and its stylization. Tool – thing and observing of its signs. Screenplay for puppet theatre. Effect of puppet theatre on the child.
