- Course objectives
- The course deepens knowledge acquired in Methodology - Literature in Secondary Schools 1, introduces selected methodical procedures of working with a literary text at the secondary school. Also, it focuses on teaching materials – coursebooks and reading-book anthologies and on evaluation and classification in literary education.
- Learning outcomes
- Students will be able to apply appropriate methodical approaches while working with imaginative literature as well as with the literary body of knowledge in order to teach literature at secondary schools. They will become familiar with a variety of literature teaching materials for secondary schools. They will be able to adapt the teaching materials to specific educational intents.
- Syllabus
- 1. Various methods for the work with epics, basic questions of its practical application. 2. Various methods for the work with lyric poetry, basic questions of its practical application. 3. Current coursebooks for secondary schools, the adaptation of teaching materials for a specific concept and an educational strategy of the course. 4. Feedback in teaching literature - evaluation, classification.

Written assignment - detailed lesson plans for three literary education classes where all three parts of the subject will be represented along with a variety of teaching forms, involving teaching methods and different types of classroom management. The realization and reflection of a part of lesson.
