Course objectives
The aim of this course is to introduce participants to a wide range of handicrafts that they will be able to use in their practical lives.
In addition to introducing participants different types of materials and work procedures and tools, we will take part in the production of one type of the aid in each lesson, introducing various uses, including a few tips for home use and alternative production methods.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, the participant will be able to recognize and use wood-based materials suitable for the production of their own and commercial aids. At the same time, they will acquire basic procedures, tools and equipment from the wood processing industry. The course participant will then be able to create an aid at home.
Syllabus
  • INTRODUCTION LESSON + PRACTICAL THEORY - types of materials, shops
  • PRODUCTION of aids according to the current schedule in the interactive syllabus
  • possible products: geoboard, tying shoelace, tactile puzzle, balance game, story cubes, soft / hard cubes for recognizing syllables, pin color inserter and other projects.

Assessment methods
After studying the interactive syllabus, it is necessary to submit a seminar work (a complex manual for making your own aid, supplemented by how-to-work with the aid and areas of human development, to this manual, you must also attach a photo of your own product - specifically, the aid (any special aid created by yourself or a handmade aid used in a school or facility with children).
