- Main objectives can be summarised as follows:
to learn and to practice the foundations of calculations in chemistry and their practical applications. - Learning outcomes
- Upon completion of this course the student will gain: Knowledge of the basic chemistry calculations and their practical applications skills in solving basic chemical calculations and their practical applications Comprehensive overview, related to the subject's curriculum content (Basic chemical calculations - from chemical formula, from chemical equation, concentration and their mutual recalculations, pH calculations, calculations in volumetric analysis and instrumental methods).

- 1. Basic laws. Relative atomic and molecular mass. Mol. Molar mass.
- 2. Calculations from chemical formula.
- 3. Equations. Forming of chemical equations. Oxidation/reduction equations.
- 4. Calculations from chemical equation.
- 5. Concentrations. Calculations of solutions concentrations.
- 6. Activity. Ion strength.
