Course objectives
Aim of the course is skill in creation of accompaniments to songs. Playing of the small piano compositions.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course students are able to create the accompaniment to the folk songs. On the basis of development of piano playing (technical skills, ability for music expression, differentiation of music styles etc.) are able to play small piano pieces for children.
Syllabus
  • Playing the instrument – the piano in relation to the subject Music theory:
  • a) playing the major and minor scales (C, G, D, F, a, e, d) b) playing the chords and their turns c) playing the basic harmonic cadences (major and minor keys) d) the basics of improvisation - accompaniments to 30 songs (selection from the 1st – 3rd class) - basic accompaniment stylization (2/4, 3/4 a 4/4 beat-times) - playing according to the chordal marks - using the pedal - play with singing song e) playing the piano composition
