- Course objectives
- Students will read some classical historical mathematical textbooks and will learn about the possibilities to use history of teaching of mathematics in mathematics teaching.
- Learning outcomes
- Successful graduates will be acquainted with old mathematical textbooks and will be able to make use of them in a lesson.
- Syllabus
- 1.-2. Czech textbooks on arithmetics and geometry from the 1950s. 3.-6. Czech mathematical textbooks from the 1970s and 1980s. Comparison with selected foreign textbooks. 7.-10. Czech textbooks from the interwar period. 11.-12. Textbooks from the Middle Ages.
